This policy describes what personal data Valentia processes, for what purposes, and what rights you have.
Data Controller
The operator of the Valentia application and data controller is Vojtěch Jurásek, Pustkovecká 363, 708 00 Ostrava-Pustkovec, Czech Republic. Contact email for all data protection inquiries: support@valentia.cz.
Data we process
(a) Account data: email address and display name when you register via email, Google, or Apple Sign-In; an anonymous identifier in guest mode. (b) Learning data: answer history, accuracy statistics, SRS metrics (review intervals). (c) Subscription data: subscription status and transaction IDs provided by RevenueCat — we do not store payment card numbers (handled by Apple/Google). (d) Technical data: error logs, device identifier, OS and app version for diagnostics. (e) Optionally a push token if you enable notifications.
Purposes and legal basis
Processing is based on contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for operating the app, personalizing learning (SRS), managing subscriptions, and syncing data; and on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for error diagnostics, security, and product improvement. We do not sell data to third parties nor use it for targeted advertising.
Processors and data transfers
We use the following processors: Supabase (database and authentication, EU), RevenueCat (subscription management, USA — under Standard Contractual Clauses), Apple App Store / Google Play (payments), Better Stack (technical logs, EU). When you register via Google or Apple Sign-In, their respective privacy policies also apply.
Retention
Account and learning data are kept for the lifetime of your account. After account deletion, data is removed within 30 days, except records we must retain by law (e.g. tax records of subscription purchases for 10 years). Technical logs are retained for at most 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object. You may also withdraw consent at any time (where given) and lodge a complaint with the Czech Data Protection Authority (uoou.cz). Send requests to support@valentia.cz; we respond within 30 days.
Children
The application is not intended for users under 13. If we learn that we have processed data of a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it without undue delay.
Changes to this policy
The current version is published on this page with the date of last update. We notify users of material changes in the app.
